Basic Format and Requirements

Hello and thanks for your interest in maimai FiNALE at CEO this year! The tournament will have a maximum of 16 players and is single elimination, with your qualifier entry being your seeding for placement.

Requirements

You will need a spectator pass/admission for CEO Orlando 2026 in order to participate. Please buy one either for day of the tournament at the front desk or get the spectator pass online ($100 plus fees)
Depending on online connectivity capabilities for the cabinet, an e-amusement pass with amusement IC capabilities may be required by the tournament with a functional account in order to access master level charts (You may make an account an hour before the tournament if needed on August 14th at 1PM)
All matches of the tournament will be played on multiplayer, specifically on the VS mode, cumulative percentage of all 3 songs played will be calculated for winning scores.

The maimai FiNALE cabinet will be in the arcade/jebaileyland in the project storm area. Cabinets should be online and running finale, there is only one cabinet and it will be free-to-play until 1PM on August 14th to allow for the tournament organizers to prepare for the tournament at 2PM. After the tournament, the cabinet will return to being free-to-play for all CEO attendees.

Prizes

Prizes will be for the top 3 of the tournament which are Shine trophies with extra prizes from artists such as MeowItsMari, MaidenAndTheMachine and MittenMeat, there will be no financial prizes due to this being a free tournament.

Qualifiers

Qualifiers will be announced on the week of CEO and will be posted on cabinets. You must show a picture of your score to the judge when you are finished to lock in your seed. Due to this being a more beginner friendly tournament, song levels will start at level 10.

The songs for qualifiers will be selected at random from zetaraku, since maimai is scored on accuracy percentage the score you get on the song will be your seeding placement for the tournament. Please give your result to a judge or DM Shay or Mechagai over social media with your score.

What if I cannot make it to the event until the day of the tournament?

Please contact Shay or Mechagai to get the qualifier song. This song can be played on a home setup or other cabinet (if you’re in Orlando, Arcade Monsters on International Drive has a finale cabinet available to play, but it is recommended to try playing the qualifiers on the DX cabinet at Arcade Time Entertainment next door due to better cabinet conditions. What if more than 16 people do qualifiers?

If there are more than 16 participants who do qualifiers, the top 16 of those qualifiers will go on to participate in the tournament.

Song list/Playable songs

For each round 5 songs will be drawn from Zetaraku (all songs available/up to verse) upper seed will ban first and then lower seed will ban, the finalized set competitors will play are the remaining 3 songs drawn.

Round of 16: 10, 10+, 11

Quarterfinals: 11+, 12, 12+

Semi-finals: 12+, 13, 13+

Finals: 13, 13+, 14
